  History
                                  (not·ting'·ham)
Named after 'Ian Nottingham,' Kenneth Irons' assassin / bodyguard "that no mortal can touch" from Image Studio's comic series "Witchblade," Nottingham (Nott) has had quite the history.
In early 1996, Nott began to make a name for himself in the Laser Tag scene near Gilbert, Arizona. Never becoming truly outstanding, he nevertheless took every opportunity that he could find to compete in that forum. Later that same year, Nott vanished from the circuit altogether. The rumor was, that he had relocated to Provo, Utah.
Rumor proved true nearly a year later, when Nottingham resurfaced. It was readily apparent that he had been very busy. Nott had switched arenas from laser tag, to multiplayer Quake. It was not long at all before he had earned the fear and respect of his opponents. Ever at the forefront of technology, Nott was one of the first competetors to make use of 3D acceleration (via OpenGL with the 'Diamond Monster' accelerator card). It has been noted that his impressive abilities may have come partly from his use of the 'Space Orb 360' Controller.
Through countless deathmatch battles, Nottingham lived up to his superhuman reputation. It was during this period that he was initially given the nickname 'Nott.' Nott's impresive career on the campus of Brigham Young University spanned a two year period. There were a number of times when other competitors would flee the server when they caught sight of the gold and green marine. To overcome this, on occasion, he would smurf under the alias "3rd of 5," and twice when his Space Orb broke, he used the name "Your Sister."
No longer at BYU, Nott does not see nearly as much action. But he still enjoys a good FPS game, and has been seen playing Quake II, Quake III, Unreal, Unreal Tournament, Half-Life, Team Fortress Classic, Soldier of Fortune, and Elite Force. Even more recently, he has ventured out further from the pure deathmatch style to play Counter-Strike, and can be found playing on the Utah CS servers hosted by his good friend and old roommate "Argonaut."
If for any reason you would like to test your mettle against his, please contact L4NC3 and an arrangment can be made.
Do not however, say that that you were not warned.
